101 North to Santa Rosa

The direct route

Follow 101 North to Santa Rosa, which is about 45 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The meandering route

This route takes you through the Sonoma Valley, including the towns of Sonoma, Glen Ellen, and Kenwood. There are many wineries and gourmet spots along the way.

101 North through Novato 37 East toward Vallejo/Napa

Hwy 121/Arnold Drive North toward Sonoma/Napa

At the “Y” intersection of 121 and 116, bear right.

Left onto Highway 12 north towards Sonoma

When you run into the Sonoma town plaza, turn left onto West Napa St.

Napa St. turns into Riverside as Hwy. 12 goes off to the right.

Stay on Riverside, then bear left onto Petaluma Ave.

Right on Arnold Drive.

Left onto Highway 12 West

As Highway 12 reaches Santa Rosa, it turns onto surface roads, including 4th Street and Farmers Lane. Follow signs for 12 very carefully till you reach 101.
